The Westbury High School NJROTC took an active role in the Annual Military Helicopter Landing event hosted at Westbury High School. This exciting day provided cadets with an up-close look at military helicopters and allowed them to participate in demonstrations and activities that highlighted the skills and dedication of our nation’s armed forces. The NJROTC cadets proudly represented their unit by helping facilitate the day’s events and engaging with attendees throughout the festivities.
A large crowd of students and cadets gathered on the school grounds to witness the impressive helicopter landings. The event drew significant attention, with many students eager to learn more about military careers and the technology behind the helicopters. The cadets worked alongside their peers to ensure everyone had a memorable and educational experience.
In addition to Westbury High School students, elementary school students from the local community were invited to join in the fun. These younger students enjoyed a day filled with exciting activities, including opportunities to explore the helicopters, participate in hands-on demonstrations, and interact with the NJROTC cadets. Their presence added to the atmosphere of excitement and community spirit.
The event was further enhanced by a performance from the United States Marine Band, whose music energized the crowd. Attendees also enjoyed virtual reality simulations, rock climbing, opportunities to speak with helicopter pilots, and much more. Special thanks go to the event organizers, the school administration, and the dedicated NJROTC cadets and instructors whose hard work made the day both possible and unforgettable.
